The Kursk High-flying pigeon

The Kursk High-flying pigeon

Origin:

The Russian race formed at the end of the 19th century in Kursk. There are four types of Kursk. This pattern is for the most common – colored with white first order darts and a white plaque.

General impression:

A medium-sized pigeon with a strong build, gives the impression of a strong dove, with a wide and strong breast, with flattened legs and tail ailerons.

Template: features of racialism.

Head: Quite big, longitudinally rounded, no edge, smooth.
Eyes: Quite big, expressive, black or light silvery ( depending on the white drawing of the head.
Brew: Narrow, gray – skylist.
Beak: The average length, proportionately thick, forms an obtuse angle with the forehead, light flesh-colored.
Neck: Less than medium length, bold, broad at the base, well positioned in the shoulders.
Breast: Wide, muscular, convex.
Back: Strong, wide.
Wings: Strong, wide, resilient ailerons, carried on the tail.
Tail: Wide, flat, 14 – 18 wide wheelhouses.
The legs: Rather short, unfledged, Red, beak-colored claws.
Plumage: Dense, well-fitting, springy.

Kinds of colors:

Black, blue with stripes, blue peas, Red.

Color and drawing:

Intense and saturated colors with a gloss. The red tail is the base color of the feathers and the head, just like the others. Other colors: the whole pigeon is of one color, only a plaque on the forehead, cheeks, and sometimes around the beak and ailerons of the first row 5 – 10 are white. They are allowed 1 – 3 wheelhouses, feathers on the lower abdomen and white spot near the steak.

Big mistakes:

Elongated or slim figure build, lace on the head, thin or long beak, eyes of different colors to each other, thin or long neck, narrow or weak breast, wings carried under the tail, peaked tail, above 3 white wheelhouses, dull color, incorrect drawing.

Comments for the evaluation:

Posture - figure - breast - wing structure - head - eyes - tail - color - drawing - general appearance.
