Lithuanian breed, bred in the mid-nineteenth century in Klaipeda. It belongs to the group of high-flying pigeons. Single copies overturn in flight, however, they are eliminated from breeding. This breed is most popular in Lithuania and the eastern federal states of Germany (where it is called memeler).

General impression:

Medium-sized pigeon (length 34 – 37 cm.), strong construction, with an elongated torso and low fluffed legs.

Template: features of racialism.

Head: Smooth, with a broad forehead forming a straight line with the beak, the forehead smoothly turns into a flat crown, (when viewed from above, it is quadrilateral with rounded angles), and then it goes into the neck just as smoothly. The head, viewed in profile, has the shape of a quadrilateral.
Eyes: Pearl, small-black pupil.
Brew: Flesh color, soft, flat.
Beak: The average length (14-17 mm), strong, slightly tilted downwards, light - only black and blue have a small darker spot at its end.. Small wax wafers, flat, slightly powdered.
Neck: Not very long, strong, smoothly flowing into the breast, slightly bent.
Breast: Wide, strong, nicely rounded.
Back: Broad in the shoulders, simple, a wedge tapering and falling towards the tail.
Wings: Worn with the tips flush with the tail, long (the length of the tail), close to the body.
Tail: Long, with 12 wheelhouses, compact, it is an extension of the back line and should be held parallel to the ground.
The legs: Short, unfledged, Red, claws clear.
Plumage: Dense, well-fitting .

White, black, Red, blue, light yellow, fawn, Brown.

Color and drawing:

Blue with black or silver stripes. Fawn with brown, red, yellow, niebieskim z paskami lub bez. 1. Monochrome pigeons – kolor nasycony, a metallic sheen on the neck and breasts. 2.Colored with a white head, lower back, belly, ailerons and tail - wing covers are more or less "chimney". 3. White with a colored neck. The colored part of the feathers should be in the form of a collar and compact. 4. Spotted with a colored head and neck, spotted wing covers, tail and wing tips clear, piercing white on the head is allowed. 5. Colored with white darts have from 6 – 10 white shuttlecocks. 6. White-tailed - have white tail feathers and a white cross and wedge under the tail. 7. Colorful with white tail and white feathers. 8. Kolorowe z 3 – 5 white feathers. 9. Fawn blue, fawn-brown, with slightly colored remiges and tail. 10. Fawn red and fawn yellow with bright feathers and a tail. The color of the head of the fawn should match the color of the body - it cannot be too light, but in fawn red and fawn yellow a slightly white color on the head is acceptable.

Big mistakes:

Too high posture; the wrong color of the eyes; red eyebrow; slim, dark, badly inserted beak; fracture - concave on the forehead and beak line; narrow forehead; rounded head and convex crown; wings under the tail or crossing the tail, incorrect body dimensions, too delicate build.
